Trend of the Day: Vibrantly Colored #Stilettos
As stated in our other post about summer fashion, an absolute essential to your summer 2014 wardrobe is vibrant colored pieces. Bright yellow shorts, hot pink rompers, royal blue rolled up jeans, the possibilities are endless! This summer, don’t focus solely on making sure your articles of clothing are of a wide array of colors, however, give your shoe collection some summer lovin’ too!
Vibrantly colored shoes are perfect for your everyday duties around the office. Unless you’re in my line of work, you’re more than likely not going to be wearing super bright colored tops and bottoms to work. Instead, you’re more than likely reaching for those neutral, bland but professional pieces that honestly have no shape or form to them on top of being a dull hue. That’s where your shoe collection comes in. Continue to wear outfits as such, but instead of pairing them with the same old boring black, nude or brown heels you always do, be daring with your color match-up. It will make a world of a difference to the entire outfit.
Jessica Alba and ASOS model shown above are great examples of pairing professional outfits with vibrantly hued heels.
Reese Witherspoon is the queen of pairing neutral outfits with intricately designed flats. Don’t just use your beautifully unique shoes for work, use them with your favorite pair of jeans too!
Taking the time to find vibrant and unique shoes can be the best thing to happen to your wardrobe this summer. Today, make it a point to be daring and adventurous with your outfit. If you’re wearing jeans and a graphic tee, because the weather isn’t permitting you to do much else with your day, pick out some brightly colored sandals or wedges. If you’re stuck inside an office all day, like myself, go for the brightest colored shoes you have. Always remember, when you look good, you feel good.
