Tips For Healthy #Hair


One thing we all want and strive for is healthy, shiny, salon-worthy hair.  If your hair is dull, thin, or flat you may be using gels to style it or flat irons and curling irons to make your hair look magazine cover ready, but those don’t get to the root (literally) of the problem. Your problem may be coming from your diet, meaning, the lack of vitamins and vital things that you need to give you the strong head of hair that you have always dreamt of.

Vitamin E pills are easily purchased at your local grocery or drug store and are to be taken daily to not only give you healthy hair, but also to help you grow stronger nails, treat burn scars, acne, and dry skin. If you want to see the benefits that vitamin E can have if applied directly to your hair, rub it sparingly right to your scalp before bedtime while also giving your scalp a nice rub all over to help the vitamin E soak in.

Your hair craves omega-3, but sadly, your body does not make it. However, do not fear because there are a variety of foods that you can eat that are full of omega-3 like salmon, avocado, walnuts, and trout. Omega-3 is a key ingredient in keeping your hair and scalp hydrated to keep the dandruff away and add shine to your locks.

Not only a great ingredient to be used in the kitchen, olive oil is an essential oil that adds moisture and shine to dry and frizzy hair. One of olive oil’s biggest perks is that it contains antioxidants that remove harmful free radicals from your hair and scalp. Some of these free radicals contribute to premature aging, therefore, causing early hair loss. Olive oil treatments are a great natural way to prevent that. All you have to do is warm up about 1 tablespoon of olive oil and apply it directly to your scalp. Gently rub it into your scalp and even a bit in your hair. Let it rest on your head for an hour and then wash it out.

*A tip for washing it out… since olive oil is very slippery and can be hard to get out of your hair, apply the shampoo right to your dry hair first and give it a good rub before letting any water on your hair in the shower.
